Well, we played a bit with encoding software and various video hosting facilities to ensure you could, at last, watch our trailers with a better quality ! Somehow they weren’t showing as good as we wanted, but now they do ! Have a look at Aldo’s“South Africa Mon Amour” trailer, or Michka Saäl’s A Great Day In Paris - better, innit? You might need to wait for them to load a little bit, but it’s worth the trouble !

French Cuisine will attend EastSilver in Jihlava, Czech Republic, from 29th of october to 1st of november. Benoit will be part of panel discussion at the French Coproduction breakfast on Friday October 30th at 9 am. We’d be happy to meet you there !

7-9 May, French Cuisine will attend OFFF - but this time no films selected, no pitching projects, just a full blast of nice stuff to watch ! An International festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture, OFFF showcases top digital artists, web, print and interactive designers, motion graphics studios, and new music adventurous. Huh huh, why an interest in this for us, would there be some cross-media projects on our grill? D’oh. For the moment let’s just see what goes on in Lisbon - stay tuned !

Another Great Day…

Ricky Ford - the famous american saxophonist - lives in Toucy, a small village about a half hour from Paris, with his wife Dominique and their children. A year ago Dominique and Ricky started an art gallery there, and since they met with Philippe Lévy-Stab on the day we took our group picture in montmartre and shot the trailer, it was only a matter of time that Philippe would have an exhibition in Toucy !
Toucy is located near Auxerre, Burgundy - a small typical french town, with its open-air market and warm atmosphere.
The exhibition opened last saturday with many of Philippe’s beautiful portraits of Archie Shepp, Bobby Watson and many more, including one that Philippe took of Ricky in NYC while they were there together last summer!
For the occasion Pianist Bobby few and Jack Gregg “à la contrebasse” - both old friends of Ricky’s - came too, and played all afternoon. Many other friends came by and shared views, a moment together and a glass of champagne!
We , of course, shot all day with the Ford family and friends - and it all ended up in the village church, for a - warm, despite the buiding’s temperature! - solo concert of Ricky!

Philippe Lévy-Stab - the famous Jazz photographer who took our group picture in June - will be exhibiting in Galerie 14 in Toucy - a Gallery recently opened by Ricky Ford in the small village of Burgundy where he and his wife dominique live. The exhibition will be opening on saturday 8th of november, and on the occasion, Ricky will be playing in the small church at 9pm - special guests to be expected ! Of course, Michka and her crew will be there too - ready to put the whole event on tape ! For all info :

Back from Lisbon !

Well - it was certainly worth it ! Aldo and Benoit attended Lisbon Docs with “South Africa Mon Amour” - now titled “White Men Can’t Toyi-Toyi !” and pitched in front of a few european broadcasters… We can’t say more yet - but there was definitely an interest ! Thanks to EDN and all the people at the festival - and maybe see you next year !
On another front, Ice People will be airing on ARTE in the “Grand Format” slot on the 11th of november - 11 pm. Don’t miss it !

Aldo and Benoit will be attending Lisbon Docs with Aldo Lee’s South Africa Mon Amour project that will take place 20-25 October. More news to come…
