French Cuisine in Lasalle

Last week I attended the 7th edition of the festival of Lasalle, to present a film which Dominant7 had produced in 2004 - Dont Fuck With Me I Have 51 Brothers And Sisters by Dumisani Phakathi. Lasalle is a small village located in the cévennes in southern France - and the festival’s audience apparently grows each year, but the team tries to keep the spirit of the earlier editions. Nice spirit if you ask me - no VIP room, no tags - not even fancy hotels as guests are hosted by villagers. I saw many films and met wonderful people - can I name out some without hurting others? yes, Laurent Roth’s I quitted the Aquitaine did catch my eye, I laughed hard at William Karel’s Hollywood and then I learnt that Michka Saäl is one of the regulars there - so maybe we’ll be back next year !
